Hi, I'm Karthik.

I build tools for understanding, automating, and navigating information.

My recent work spans AI agents, editorial pipelines, public transit data, learning tools, and self-managed infrastructure. I am interested in systems that reduce noise, preserve judgment, and make complex things easier to act on.

01 / Built

Built Systems

Projects that started as obsessions, annoyances, or recurring questions, then slowly turned into working systems.

News Intelligence Platform

MVP

A full-stack news intelligence system that ingests RSS sources, clusters stories, scores editorial relevance, and turns a noisy news cycle into a usable queue.

Why I built it

I wanted to understand the news cycle as a system: what is new, what is repeating, what is worth covering, and what can safely be ignored.

GhostWriter

MVP

An AI-assisted editorial pipeline for discovering stories, scoring relevance, generating drafts, and keeping human judgment in the loop.

Why I built it

I write under time pressure, so I built a system that handles the repetitive parts of discovery and drafting while leaving taste, context, and the final call to me.

IndianTransit

Live

A public transit reference platform for Indian cities, systems, lines, stations, maps, construction updates, and service changes.

Why I built it

I wanted Indian transit information to feel like a system you can browse, compare, and keep track of, not a scattered trail of PDFs, operator pages, and news posts.

Brandle

Live

A daily brand-name puzzle built around memory, recognition, and the small satisfaction of figuring something out.

Why I built it

I wanted to make a tiny daily ritual that felt familiar like Wordle, but used brands, hints, difficulty modes, stats, and shareable results to become its own product.

NCERTMate

Lab

An AI-assisted learning companion for explaining NCERT concepts in clearer, more student-friendly language.

Why I built it

I wanted textbook learning to feel less like memorisation and more like having someone patiently explain the idea until it clicks.

KeplerClaw

Internal

A self-managed AI infrastructure setup running personal agents, automations, memory, editorial tools, and scheduled briefings from my own Ubuntu server.

Why I built it

I wanted AI tools to feel less like scattered subscriptions and more like infrastructure I could shape, run, inspect, and trust.

05 / Notes

Operating Notes

A few recurring patterns in how I think and build.

I look for systems.

Transit networks, editorial workflows, money movement, learning paths, job searches. I tend to understand things by asking what the parts are, how they move, and where the friction hides.

I explain to understand.

Writing is how I test whether I actually understand something. If I cannot explain it clearly, I probably only recognise the words.

Things I keep returning to

Most of my projects start with the same feeling: this thing is interesting, but the existing interface to it is messy. So I build a smaller, clearer one for myself first.
